I am sitting here at the breakfast table having finished my mom's fluffy home-made pancakes. Not too bad of a perk considering. You see, Joel realized that having doctors orders requiring me to stay on bed rest meant more work for him. Considering how much he had been doing prior to the Bed Rest orders, Joel decided that mother was needed. So he quickly called my mom, got her on a plane and thus we have a self proclaimed maid.
What does having my mother here mean? Well, it is hot breakfast, hot lunch and fabulous dinners. Laundry is getting done, grocery shopping is kept up with, and I have company! I haven't seen the inside of my fridge for days now, I usually know its contents by memory.
Surprisingly I am not going stir crazy. I am keeping busy, which I am sure helps. I have Wii Pinball; a DVR; and Thank You notes to write.
What I wish I could be doing? Cleaning the bathroom, cleaning the floors, bathing the dogs, organizing my misc pile, packing up the home decor items that will be in dad's way when he arrives, watering my flower beds, mowing and edging the lawns. But the most important activity that I wish I could enjoy is Swimming, with the kidos I spend most of my days with.
But alas, here I sit, sometimes lay, looking out the window wishing I could go enjoy the outdoors the way I like best- yard work.
I know my place for now is on this couch. This couch that is becoming more and more uncomfortable as time passes. I am fulfilling my first responsibility as Ross' mother. Problem is, Ross is learning that mom caters to his whims. But he is soon going to learn that my world does Not revolve around him- well, not all the time anyways!

You are almost full term!! So great! The finish line is RIGHT THERE!! You will be holding your baby boy so soon...I'm envious! And how wonderful to have your mom there helping...that takes so much pressure off! Can't wait to hear that he has arrived!=0)
I'm SO glad you have your mom there to help out!!! I'm glad you're not going stir-crazy... i've been doing a bad job of calling you with a joke of the day - come to think of it, I don't know that many jokes. maybe i'll have to switch it to a thought of the week (that's probably more accurate!).
Love you guys....
The things we don't necessarily like to do are the things we long to do when we're not able to!! Why can't you go lay by the pool if there is someone to take care of the kids? Surely there is a lovely string bikini that will look great right about now!! for your mom...
Seriously though, being outside is a good thing Joy as long as your not UP. Get out of the house before it makes you crazy!! Move the couch outside if you must!! Although a lounge chair would work too (: But no yard work. Wish I could come and give you an hour or so of my time to boss around in the yards! Of course I don't do mine...
Lay!! Sit!! Good doggy.
Love you, A. Susan
